About the job

As 2nd Captain, you will be the right-hand man to the 1st captain. You will be responsible for:

  • Ship, cargo and crew; You will ensure the overall safety and proper operation of the ship, cargo and crew.
  • Navigation: You are responsible for navigating the ship safely, taking into account fairway, draught, current and other relevant factors.
  • Loading and unloading: You coordinate all aspects of loading and unloading, including performing stability calculations.
  • Staff: You supervise and coach the crew, promote good cooperation and share your knowledge.

Your profile

  • ICC / Rhine patent up to Mannheim
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Possible radar license
  • ADN, ADN C
